Faculty of Law of the University of Tartu is going to open a new field of study of IT Law in English for MA students in order to ensure training of highly qualified law specialists in IT field. Formation of this field of study has also been recognized with the “Idea of the Year” title by Estonian Association of Information Technology and Telecommunications.

The international commissions of accreditation visited Tallinn University and the Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences Mainor. Based on the evaluation commissions’ reports, the EKKA Quality Assessment Council decided on 9 June to accredit both, Tallinn University and the Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences Mainor for seven years. Both higher education schools were given the EKKA quality mark.

The Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with Tallinn University of Technology (TUT) offers 2 stipends for the potential students from the UKRAINE on a 2-year fully English-taught tuition free Master’s Programme in E-governance. The stipend is 400 euros per month for the total of 17 months period during the studies to cover living expenses of the student in Tallinn.

The interest of international student candidates in studies in the University of Tartu has increased by more than 45% in comparison with the previous year. The greatest interest was in the master’s programme of software engineering for which 332 applications were submitted.
'European Innovation Academy 2014 - last call for participants'14 Apr 2014
Estonian initiative called the IT Academy is supporting the participation of group of Estonian IT students (both local and international) in the 2014 European Innovation Academy (EIA) technology entrepreneurship program. The programme is taking place on 7-25th July in Sophia-Antipolis, France.
The lucky 40 scholarships applicants have now been chosen and are preparing for their awesome summer training in Nice! Soon we will share more information about the applicants who were granted the IT Academy scholarships of €1290 (per person) to take part of the EIA.

On May 14, Tallinn University (TU) will hold an Open Doors Day in Helsinki to introduce the opportunities to study in Tallinn, and also in Helsinki. The event will take place at Korkeavuorenkatu 30A, Helsinki from 13.00 to 16.30. During the day several of TU’s institutes such as TU Law School, Baltic Film and Media School will give an insight into their programmes by giving a lecture. The day will end with a film screening and also a mini fair will take place on spot.
